NEXTGEN VOLUNTEERS HELP KIDS, TEENS, AND FAMILIES KNOW JESUS

The NextGen Volunteer application process is:

• Meet the NextGen Volunteering Requirements:
  
  
  1. Be a safe person who loves God and others. Abstain from pornography, non-marital sexual relationships, illegal consumption, and drunkenness
  
  
  2. Have character that is known publicly and privately, and therefore: have regularly attended Bloomingdale Church for at least six months, which includes attending a service or group with other church attendees present and/or meeting regularly with a church member
  
  
  3. Read and follow NextGen Volunteer Policy
  
  


• Complete (this) annual NextGen Volunteer Application
  
  
  
  • Give information for background check (and driving record check if opting to be an off-site event driver)
  
  
  
  


• Application review:
  
  
  1. References checked by the shepherds, along with NextGen staff
  
  
  2. Background check cleared
  
  
  3. New volunteers will be scheduled for a pre-placement conversation with a NextGen staff and shepherds
  
  


• NextGen Volunteer status approval:
  
  
  
  • Your application is valid for one year ending September 1, 2026
  
  
  • You must complete a new application every year
  
  
  • Volunteer status can be revoked if conduct is in question

NextGen volunteers are models of the values they teach, regularly attending weekend worship and participating in a discipleship group.

NEW VOLUNTEERS ONLY: What is your most recent church attendance history, including Bloomingdale Alliance Church? (Please include info for your past 10 years of church attendance history)

A background check will be performed for all new volunteers 21+, and every five years/as requested for returning volunteers.

I have had no major violations in the past 10 years, and am willing to be a driver at off-site NextGen events. Read the Church Vehicle Use Policy.

Upon being approved as a photographer, I will receive a sticker that identifies me. All photos taken will not be posted on personal social media and will be shared with the program staff person/point leader.

Please give three adult references, including at least one attendee of the church.

The responses I have provided are complete, truthful, and accurate. I hereby authorize Bloomingdale Alliance Church to make inquiries into my background in connection with evaluating information I have provided on this form and application process.

I affirm that I will comply with all policies and procedures of Bloomingdale Alliance Church. I recognize that Bloomingdale Alliance Church reserves the right to not accept my application or to remove me from volunteering if I am acting contrary to the NextGen Policy. I will report any known or suspected child abuse or other violation of policy directly to a staff or point ministry leader.
